There is much emphasis on the defense sector by the government. It is a sector expected to do well. We have created a basket of 5 stocks from defense stocks.

1. The basket comprises of five stocks from the defense sector.
2. All stocks start with an equal weightage
3. The basket is reviewed every month which may or maynot result in a rebalance. Frequent rebalances can be disruptive and so we like to keep them to a minimum.
4. Stocks are selected based on our momentum filters
5. The portfolio is managed on the old traders' adage of cutting your losses and letting your winners run.
6. As with all our portfolios, manager discretion is kept to a minimum,
7. The portfolio is concentrated and specific to one sector and would therefore have the attendant risks. Accordingly, we would not recommend investments above Rs 5 lacs in this basket.
