1. Do you think, just like winning tosses at the start of the match can be one of the deciding factors for the outcome of a match, subscription numbers should also be a factor for selecting an IPO? Winning the toss can give substantial advantage to one side in turning odds in his favor even before the first ball is bowled. But does winning the toss is job done? No matter if you are playing at your home turf or away, batting first or bowling, white ball or red, winning a toss doesn’t guarantee winning a match.

2. Who would you like to nominate as Dipti Sharma of your portfolio (a well-run company by a women business leader)? Finance minister ‘Nirmala Sitharaman’, leader of the nation, is the real Dipti Sharma of our portfolio. The strong policy measures that she has taken to revive the capex cycle in India, infrastructure activities and accelerated adoption of Green Energy have contributed significantly to our out-performance.

3. How do you decide your investment strategy whether they should opt for a Test match orOne-day or T20? We prefer to have a mix of all three strategies in our portfolio. One-Day or T20 is more like a short-term tactical allocation play to generate additional alpha, it’s the disciplined and patient approach of staying invested in markets that helps build wealth in the long term.

4. Do you select a specialist or an all-rounder for your portfolio and why? There are numerous investment strategies that one can follow to generate good returns. Our investment approach involves taking concentrated bets on specific sectors but diversifying within them through a basket approach.

5. Who is your cricket idol and which quality of his, you would like to replicate in your portfolio/strategy? Sachin Tendulkar’s adaptability is a valuable trait which is much needed in equity markets.
